Eternis, founded in 1988, is one of the top 10 global aroma chemical manufacturers. Their products are integral to many of the world’s leading perfume brands. As India’s largest exporter of aroma chemicals, with 80% of sales coming from exports, Eternis has built a strong global presence. However, to maintain its competitive edge, the company needed a cloud infrastructure that was more reliable, scalable, and cost-effective.
Challenges
Solutions
Eternis was facing challenges with its SAP infrastructure on Azure, encountering performance and compatibility issues that impacted operational efficiency. The company sought a more stable and optimized cloud environment that could fully support its SAP workloads. Additionally, managing multiple cloud infrastructures increased complexity and operational costs. Eternis wanted to consolidate all its infrastructure under a single cloud provider while ensuring cost optimization and security with a unified firewall setup.
To address these challenges, Brio Technologies facilitated a seamless migration of Eternis' SAP infrastructure from Azure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). GCP was chosen due to its strong compatibility with SAP, providing better performance, reliability, and integration. Along with SAP, other infrastructure workloads were also migrated to GCP to ensure a centralized cloud environment. A single firewall was implemented in front of the entire infrastructure, simplifying security management and significantly reducing costs. The migration was executed with minimal downtime, ensuring business continuity while optimizing cloud resources for better efficiency.
Business Impact
The migration to GCP resulted in enhanced SAP performance, improved stability and compatibility, and simplified infrastructure management. By consolidating all workloads on GCP, Eternis achieved better operational efficiency, reduced cloud complexity, and lowered overall costs. The implementation of a unified firewall streamlined security, making it easier to manage while improving protection across the infrastructure. This move has positioned Eternis for long-term scalability, ensuring they can continue their growth with a cloud environment that fully supports their business needs.
